Minecraft Marketplace

Sell/Buy content for Minecraft Pocket Edition & Windows 10 Edition – Coming Soon
Microsoft plans to introduce a Minecraft Marketplace on the Microsoft webstore, a marketplace that will allow
3rd parties such as builders and texture pack designers and other creators to release
content and get paid by selling it to users.
This is an amazing addition to the Minecraft community, initially this marketplace
will support Minecraft Pocket Edition and Windows 10 Edition there is no word on support for
other versions such as the PC version or any console version, but we may hear more as the release date approaches.

Content creators can apply to be in the Minecraft marketplace program by visiting here.
You'll need a Xbox Live account to be able to use the marketplace to purchase content, no word
yet on what payment methods will be supported to purchase content.

If you'd like to suggest stuff, the public beta will be released very soon (mid-April) which will focus on
the virtual currency that the marketplace will use called 'Minecraft coins'
later down the line the full version will be released (expected in mid 2017/Summer of 2017)
Microsoft/Mojang will also be hosting a Reddit AMA for questions and suggestions on the Minecraft marketplace
the Reddit AMA can be located here and the questions and suggestions form can be located here.

Minecraftforum.org is excited to also see this system move over to the Nintendo Switch, we've documented the
Nintedo's switch Minecraft version here if you'd like to check it out and all the details on the Minecraft switch
that is available right now.
